Through this map, the location of a specific water pump was traced where local residents would go to fetch water (marked as <strong>x<\/strong>, in the map given below). This water pump was the cause of the widespread epidemic and measures were immediately taken to avoid its spread. Snow and his team of scientists gained intelligence and insights from geolocated information.
